YORK, PA, September 11, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Supreme Justice: A York County Fight for Civil Rights & Due Process is a firsthand documentary memoir built around the Petitioners' actual Supreme Court filing and the York County events transforming private family matters into an American constitutional fight. This memoir traces those events to York County Case No. 2024-MI-000581, which authors William Edgar Lewis, Jr. ("Lewdo") and Monique Naté Holmes ("MoBetta") identify as the beginning of the constitutional injuries documented throughout the book.

At the center of Supreme Justice is what the authors allege occurred at 9:18 p.m. on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024: an ex parte proceeding recorded despite York County Judicial Center staff later confirming, in person, that the courthouse was closed. They contend Holmes' name was scratched out and replaced with Lewis', document metadata reflects a print date approximately 22 months in advance, and the minor child was identified as the plaintiff despite police footage stating the child never entered the courthouse. Judge Robert A. Eckenrode denied emergency relief and directed the matter closed; the authors maintain it nevertheless remains open more than 600 days later.

The memoir then follows what happened the next day, when two PFAs – 2020-FC-001144-12A and 2024-FC-002653-12A – were served and enforced by York County Sheriff Deputies, although court personnel later verified that neither proceeding existed in the system. Their filings identify private parties and legal representatives, including Suzanne H. Griest, Esq., and MPL Law Firm LLP, in allegations surrounding the challenged paperwork. Nearly two years later, the authors attribute continuing injuries to those documents, including permanent child separation, confiscated firearms, firearm-license and Second Amendment deprivations, and damage to previously unblemished records.

"Ms. Lady Justice should never take property, family, or life through paperwork made impossible to verify or challenge," Lewdo writes in Supreme Justice. MoBetta reflects, "Unjustly separating a child from their mother is like tearing a seed from the soil before it has rooted."

As Supreme Justice brings that journey to the present, the authors' fight now moves toward the Supreme Court of the United States after their claims reached dismissal before discovery could test the disputed record. Alongside the book's release, Lewdo and MoBetta are inviting constitutional scholars, civil-rights and family-rights advocates, veterans' and Second Amendment organizations, lawyers, and Supreme Court clinics to review the petition for possible amicus support. Monique Naté Holmes, known as MoBetta, is an author, mother, advocate, and emerging voice for Black women whose strength is expressed through compassion, perseverance, family, and an unwavering pursuit of justice. Her story embodies a form of Black excellence that is both powerful and deeply human - the determination to remain loving without becoming passive, feminine without becoming silent, and compassionate without surrendering the right to demand accountability.

Her advocacy grew from lived experience. What began as a deeply personal struggle involving motherhood and family evolved into a broader fight concerning parental rights, due process, access to justice, civil rights, and governmental accountability. Rather than allowing others to exclusively define or document her experience, MoBetta became one of its authors. Together with her fiancé, William "Lewdo" Lewis, Jr., she participated in researching, documenting, writing, and preserving the story of a legal struggle they have confronted side by side.

Through her writing, particularly Gift of Custody, MoBetta speaks to mothers, daughters, women, and families who understand that strength isn't always loud.
